From Monet to Kandinsky. Revolutionary Art
04.12.2020 - 30.06.2021
An international bestseller exhibition featuring works of ten great artists of XIX-XX centuries in multimedia format. After big success in Germany, Russia and Thailand now on display in Switzerland.
A journey through the most important art movements at the turn of the XIX-XX century when a revolution hung noticeably in the air.

The political upheavals and wars shook society to the core. At the same time, the achievements of the industrial revolution changed everyday life. New inventions were presented every year: telegraph, daguerreotype, radio, electricity, airplanes, etc. During this turbulent period, many new art movements emerged which were later summarized under the heading of “modernism”.
The rapid development of art can be experienced with works of 10 remarkable masters of modernism in a unique combination of HD projections, animated graphics and music. Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Paul Gaugin, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Juan Gris, Robert Delaunay, Edvard Munch, Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky - they all shared the desire to lift art into new spheres and to find new meaningful visual forms of expression in order to be able to capture the tremendous upheavals of their time.
The innovative, holistic art installation allows visitors to immerse themselves in the world of extraordinary paintings for almost an hour. The multimedia format is making the dream of many modernists of combining painting and music a reality. The exhibition is also an educational platform. Before entering the multimedia show, visitors can study the context of the time in the anteroom and view important events and ideas and understand how these have changed the visual arts. Useful information about pallets and the key ideas of art movements, as well as interesting facts about painters and their works, are presented in an accessible manner.

So macht Kunst Spaß.
