Encounter with van Gogh
Encounter with van Gogh is more than just an exhibition – it is a sensory journey into the thoughts and emotions of one of the most significant artists in Western art history.
This multimedia production offers an emotional yet accessible insight into Vincent van Gogh – ideal for art lovers as well as families wishing to rediscover culture together.
360-degree projections, powerful music and fascinating visual effects combine with live-action scenes and an authentic narrative drawn from his moving correspondence with his brother Theo. Colour, light and sound bring van Gogh’s world to life in a way that is equally impressive for adults and children. The focus is on his intense creative period in Arles, during which masterpieces such as The Sower, The Red Vineyard, The Night Café and The Starry Night were created. In the historic Kornhaus, these works come to life in a room-filling projection and merge with music to create an emotional, all-encompassing experience.
Encounter with van Gogh is immersive, moving and inspiring across generations – an experience that not only showcases art but makes it tangible. Suitable for visitors of all ages.
